KINSHASA: JAN 31, 2023. Survivors and Advocates for E.C.A. (Ending Clergy Abuse) and C.O.M.E. groups will be on the streets urging Pope Francis to speak with victims of clergy abuse and urging him to protect children from clergy sexual abuse. They will be at the following locations:

Stade de Martyrs – where Pope Francis will meet with Catholic youth

WHO: E.C.A. and C.O.M.E. groups will be there to urge Pope Francis to protect children from clergy sexual abuse

Cathedrale Notre-Dame du Congo – where Pope Francis will meet with seminarians

WHO: E.C.A. and C.O.M.E. groups will be there to urge Pope Francis to end clergy abuse of children and young people.

 

Friday February 3

Members of E.C.A. and C.O.M.E will be on the streets to share information regarding a current case of , including details on how the victim and her family have been silenced and the harm done to her advocates.  We will Insist Pope Francis enforce his recently enacted “apostolic letter”  by immediately removing and sanctioning abusive priests and their bishop enablers to send an important message to the continent of Africa that there is zero tolerance for clergy sex abuse and coverup.
